I recently purchased a new computer and want to setup thunderbird to use my att yahoo mail account When at&t was trying unsuccessfully to help me, their fix was to set up a secure mail key. I went through the automatic process and got an incorrect information message

I tried yahoo's instructions and they don't match what shows up in the account setup in thunderbird So, apparently oauth is available for the old inbound.att.net servers as well I am stuck and need some step by step instructions to set this up.

Att.net is blocking my access to att/yahoo email from my att.net account using firefox '''''''but not using chrome?''''''' i have stopped all tracking and cookie blocking something's gone wrong we may be having trouble with your connection

Several days ago tb daily started asking for my att (yahoo) password Tb initially rejected my password but i did forgot password and added exactly the same password back since it was working on att (yahoo) web mail. I spoke with an att support representative who said yahoo/att has a global mail server problem that began about 4 months ago Created a the secure mail key

Sent test email, entered the key when prompted for password, and the mail was sent However, i'm still not getting incoming mail I checked the saved passwords box It seems to be empty

Everything is greyed out, so i can't enter or delete anything

I had expected to type the secure mail key in the top box. Thunderbird won't login to att yahoo mail (with new suggested settings and oauth2 password) 2 replies 2 have this problem 91 views last reply by szappanos 5 years ago I've seen variations of this problem a lot Emails from my att/yahoo account have not downloaded on thunderbird since october

Pop mail server, sever name Normal password (although a secure mail code is being used and oauth2 would not work). Thunderbird can be used as a client for an at&t email account Thunderbird will download messages from the at&t server and store them on your local system.
