4in/1=4moa so say you have a 1 inch circle at 50 yards, 1/.5=2 moa 1inch at 25yd 1/.25= 4 moa. I mainly follow the reloading forum, and only have experience posting from there, so i’m not sure how to post in a different forum yet Regardless, this post is all about figuring out scope turret dial up in moa and mils, when you already know the bullet drop in inches based off a trajectory.
Hello from france i am trying to understand how many moa i need for my scope / base / mount depending on distances
For reference i use this guide. 0 moa base > 0 mil 20 moa base > 6 mil 25 moa base > 7.5 mil 30 moa base > 9 mil 35 moa base > 10.5 mil 40 moa base > 12 mil a 25 moa base is a little uncommon, most are 0, 20, 30 & 40 moa If you go with a 30 moa (9 mil) base you may or may not be able to zero properly at 25 or 50 yards, it will be very close with the chosen scope. Depends on how much elevation you need
My 260 currently has a 20 moa My 7 saum has a 45 moa.
