Calea provides four accreditation programs for public safety agencies Law enforcement, communications, training academy, and campus security Each of these programs promulgates standards that reflect best practices for public safety agencies. The calea accreditation program seals are reserved for use by those public safety agencies that have demonstrated compliance with calea standards and have been awarded calea accreditation by the commission.
The calea client database allows agencies to research calea clients by agency name, country, state, program type, agency type, and agency size The database provides contact information and other accreditation information about the agency. The calea accreditation programs provide public safety agencies with an opportunity to voluntarily meet an established set of professional standards. Calea accredited agencies are recognized for having been accredited for 15 or more continuous years
