In the present time he was much more even with frieza, regularly unlocking powerups, and had at least two equally strong backups in vegeta and gohan, easier to let frieza train and fight him for fun in that scenario. Narratively black frieza would obviously be stronger, but going purely by feats and statements than anime goku would be the winner And of course if you argue that the universe destroying punches were retconned or an outlier or whatever in the manga, than buu saga anime goku unironically has a chance.
