Quick post to let you know that yes, i’m still alive and i’ve just released version 2.0 of my popular link discovery tool for windows, ldwin. Because lldp and cdp are layer 2 protocols, the connected device doesn’t require full network access for the application to gather the appropriate information I’ve included a link below to github where the application can be downloaded The page includes sample images and instruction on how to use the application

Starting with version 1.3 the software can optionally read and send cdp (cisco discovery protocol) packets Information received in cdp packets is added to the lldp mib database of the agent The lldp agent is implemented as a service for background operation on windows xp/vista/20xx/7/8/10/11 platforms.
