With this interation of peavey's long running max series I know other pa speaks don't sound very good for sound reproduction. They've improved their construction over the previous series which imo was built kind of flimsy, especially with the controls which tbh was very unusual for peavey
Unlike the other amps in the current series They are light, space efficient, and from what i've read they sound good between sets playing dj music The 208 offers neither a built in tuner nor an external cab.

The eminence woofer in the rumble 100 is better sounding than the speaker in the peavey. Many have asked for a pedal that would have the preamp of an original session 400 It is the exact preamp circuit used in the early 70's. After i ordered the peavey minimax from sweetwater i discovered over a half a dozen available for $349 on ebay available right now

Honestly for the money the peavey 410 tvx is a steal in my opinion especially with the right head Also, because of the weight, i suggest you either invest in a dolly to roll it around from place to place, or get some castors for it, which is my current project Peavey super ferrite single coil body Maple (gloss finish) tuning keys
