Emerson went to steel blades for the 1931 models Since i don't see a date code on your motor tag in the lower right corner and the fact that it has the older etched cage badge from prior to c.1926, i'd say the blade was changed at some time in the past and the fan was probably made with a brass blade. The 16” early emerson’s were very powerful fans
