I got tires changed at a local firestone back in august and had set up a credit card with cfna Would it be better if i called them and canceled it or should i just let the timer run out for them to cancel it. When i called to make a payment on the account a few…
That charge off from cfna can be negotiated down with the collection agency to be removed from your credit, just paying a portion of the balance due The only concern i have is how it will affect my credit score Be grateful for what you have and give little thought to what you don't
You just got that great increase in pay
So i signed up for a credit card through firestone because they said i'd get a discount on my service I had just woken up 30 minutes prior to my appointment and my brain was not firing on all cylinders yet, so i am aware this was a very dumb mistake Anyways, i was wondering if it's a good idea to cancel the card as i heard it can hurt your credit score temporarily I have pretty good credit.
However, after coming to my senses and checking out the relatively low perks of the card and the high interest rate, i am in between canceling or keeping the card. I have cfna firestone too I basically just use it for oil changes to keep it open bc it's my oldest revolving account The usual advice is to keep any accounts with no annual fee active just for fico scoring metrics, but if you're just done with this one, then let it close
The history will stay on your reports for the next 10 years regardless.
So due to some incredibly stupid absentmindedness and a highly stressful december, i spaced out and missed my december tires plus cfna card payment I paid it plus january's bill, the late fee and a little more yesterday but due to their cut off time, it didn't credit until today. I applied for a cfna credit card and still don’t arrive i applied for the firestone mastercard on may 18 and still haven’t arrive, i need to call the custom service but they ask me for a credit card number, what can i do New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast.
The company is cfna or credit first national, with firestone, i occasionally used this car for routine maintenance (oil changes, tires, brakes.) etc So now i have two months of late payments and before that was completely on track. They called customer service, and somehow i signed up for the wrong card that only is accepted at firestone locations and not third party locations, apparently they have two different cards and you either get approved for the credit card or the store credit card, and they don't really tell you until after you get approved. It says that since my account has been inactive for 3 years they will close my credit card
That’s fine by me, i only needed it for a car repair when i was in college
